Ravish Kumar joins Paanchajanya Public Charitable Trust as a new trustee

RAVISH KUMAR THAKUR (B.1980)

RAVISH accepted the invitation of the Board of Trustees of Paanchajanya Public Charitable Trust (Regd.) and joined it on 01 Dec., 2021.

RAVISH is a B Com, B Ed, MBA. He has worked in the marketing of pharmaceutical products. In August, 2018, he joined GLA Centre as its Lay Secretary. In the months since then, the Centre completed all its planned constructions, and stabilized its activities in both education and health care.

RAVISH is liked by most mainly for his style of work. He leads his peers without ever being unpleasant. The Trust is about to start a new unit on the SH 75 near Pindaruch soon in order to serve a larger area. His talents & skills can help the Trust create an affordable & dependable system of primary health care & learning even for the rural poor.

Dr Rajendra Prasad’s 137th Birthday was celebrated at GLA

The 137th birthday of Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India, was celebrated at GLA Centre here today.

On this occasion, cheques for scholarships granted by CR Kothari  Memorial Charitable Trust of Vadodara, Gujrat were also given to the selected students. Regardless  of caste, etc., Kothari Trust supports dozens of good students from economically weaker sections every year. This year the following from Darbhanga district were also granted this scholarship:

  4. Pinki Kumari
  5. Ayush Choudhary

  7. Anu Kumar

Speaking on this occasion, Prof Lal Mohan Jha (Retd.) of LN Mithila University eulogized the simplicity and vision of the first president of India. He also urged the scholarship awardees to to excel in life as in studies.

Free Health Check up camp for school children

GLA CENTRE Pindaruch organised a free health check up camp for govt primary school children of the village. In all, 74 children, including 28 boys, reported for the check up.

Their height & weight were taken, & their teeth and general health were examined. Children were also told about hygiene & were given a tooth brush & a tube of tooth paste.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at GLA Centre Pindaruch

The 152nd birthday of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated at GLA Centre, Pindaruch, yesterday. Gandhiji and his teachings are still more relevant today, speakers said.

About 70 senior school girls and boys participated in a quiz on the life and work of Gandhiji and in a discussion on his relevance today. By securing full marks, the following became joint winners of the quiz: Putul Kumari, Sandhya Kumari, Nisha Kumari and Harsh Kumar Jha. Among speakers on the relevance of Gandhiji, Ayush Kumar Choudhary got the first prize, Mehnur Khanam came second, and Sonali Kumari got the third prize. All participants were given books. Winners were also given cash prizes. Shree Manish Chaudhary, Asst General Manager, Punjab Nation Bank, Darbhanga Region, gave away the prizes.

Sapna Paswan of Pindaruch began the event with “Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram”. She was followed by Shri Deepak Kumar Jha of All India Radio Darbhanga Station, a vocalist of international repute. Jha sang “Vaishanav Jan to Tene Kahiye”. Both Sapna and Deepakji were accompanied on Dholak by Shri Bipin Chandra Chaudhary of Pindaruch.

Shri Amar Nath Prasad, Programme Executive, All India Radio, Darbhanga, was the chief guest. Dr. Sweta of GLA Centre and Shree Pushpendra of AIR Darbhanga gave historical perspectives on Gandhiji. Shree Ravish Kumar Thakur, Lay Secretary of G L A Centre, thanked the guests for joining the celebration in spite of rains and damaged mud road.

  1. 02 Oct.: 152nd birthday of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated at the Centre with invited students discussing life and work of the Mahatma.
  2. Two dozen students from Darbhanga Dt were recommended for scholarship of the CRKothari Mmorial Charitable Trust. Vadodara.
  3. Like earlier months since the outbreak of the current pandemic, services of the GLA Centre remained available 24 hrs to all in this cluster of villages. Doctors, paramedics, medicines and machines were sent to the homes of the needy that were unable to reach the centre. Through nebulizers, oxymeters, etc., some were also given emergency care at home.
  4. May Mothers Kali & Lakshmi save us from distress & darkness; may our lives be illuminated with the love of the Mother!

GLA CENTRE PINDARUCH BEGINS ANTE-NATAL CHECK UP OF PREGNANT WOMEN

Many newborns & their mothers die in India in labor. It is especially so in villages. To help women enjoy better general health & easier labour, GLA CENTRE is going to start a MATERNITY CENTRE following the milestones given below:

  1. ANTE-NATAL CHECK UP: 2021: a lady doctor ( gynaecologist) and an experienced mid-wife cum nurse visiting the Centre.
  2. July, 2022: a Lady Doctor & an experienced nurse cum midwife available at least five days and 20 hrs a week.
  3. July 2025, a 24-hr mid-wife & nurse & a lady doctor attending or available on call to manage “normal” delivery.

Estimated Cost:
Phase 1: Rs 300,000/- p a
Phase 2: Rs 700,000/- p a
Phase 3: Rs 10 lakh p a

GLA HEALTH CENTRE PINDARUCH

Pindaruch (Bihar 847 306),June 1,  Tuesday: In their effort to create a Corona-free nation, Shri Gunjan Patel, President, Youth Congress, Bihar, and his colleagues came to Pindaruch this afternoon and  gifted to the GLA HEALTH CENTRE PINDARUCH, an organ of PAANCHAJANYA PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST (REGD.), a gift package containing 1. An Oxygen Concentrator, 2. Two Oxygen Cylinders & accessories, 3. 40 units of full course of Corona medicines & usables, & 4. an Oxymeter, all worth Rs 135,000/- by standard price. The GLA CENTER, Pindaruch serves a cluster of  14 villages offering medical advice to the needy, medicines at their door step, basic pathological tests collecting samples at the patient’s door step. It also offers visits by doctor & nebulization service at the home of those in need. Now it can also help manage Corona related emergencies until the victim can be taken for proper treatment to the nearby town of Darbhanga. Providing for in-house & properly supervised emergency care by qualified medical personnel is on the agenda of the Paanchaajanya P C TRUST (REGD.) & GLA CENTRE. With help from & good wishes of all, Pindaruch & the surrounding villages can soon have a reliable & affordable primary health care system. As a Diilip Kumar starrer said in the 1960s, SAATHII HAATH BADHAANA…, “Friends, give us a hand…! “. Any help will be gratefully acknowledged.
