Pindaruch, 03/Dec., 2022: To begin the construction of its new premises, Dr Lata Khetan & Dr Rambabu Khetan, Chair, Indian Redcross Society Darbhanga, laid the foundation stone of Block I of Paanchajanya Centre Pindaruch here today The Centre, a unit of Paanchajanya P C Trust (Regd.), is an initiative to bring affordable & reliable healthcare & education in villages.
Science is not magic, it’s logic. It lives through replicable experiments, without them science education is incomplete, said Dr Yogendra Pathak Viyogi, the well-known nuclear scientist & science educator. He was talking to teachers and senior students at a lec-dem session on ” WHY & HOW SCIENCE EDUCATION ” organised by Paanchajanya P C Trust (Regd ) on Monday, 09 May 2022 at the High School Pindaruch. Dr Pathak lamented that these days science was being taught without any experiments, without even those that cost nothing. As a result in national science fairs, students from other states brought dozens of projects, Karnataka recently had 183, but Bihar was barely able to show two or three. Dr Viyogi also demonstrated a pin dancing in a flow of electrical current, making litmus paper with local flowers, producing electrical current through a magnet in a bottle, etc. He also shared some of Mr Arvind Gupta’s videos of experiments for science education.
On this occasion, many students spoke about the value of science & science education. Mr Kusheshwar Sahni, Head Master of the School, presided.
